Our story
Four decades in one product category.
RTC has been in eyewear since 1985. In that time the equipment has changed, the materials have improved and the customers have become international — but the business has stayed on the same product.
That focus is deliberate. Eyewear is a category where small things decide whether a frame sells: how the bridge sits, whether the temple holds an adjustment, whether the polish still looks good after a month in a shirt pocket. Those are not things a factory learns quickly, and they are not things a general plastics manufacturer picks up as a sideline.
Today we manufacture cellulose acetate optical frames and sunglasses under our ownClarish™ brand, and we manufacture them for other people's brands through OEM, ODM and private label work. We also trade and wholesale spectacle frames alongside our own production, which is where the company originally started.
Our customers are eyewear brands, optical retail chains, distributors, wholesalers and importers — in India and internationally. What they have in common is that they are reselling, which means our job is to make them look good to their customer rather than to ours.
How we work
Four things we hold to.
Not a values statement. These are the specific habits that determine whether a manufacturing relationship works.
Say what is possible
If a design will not hold in acetate at the size requested, the useful time to say so is at the drawing stage. We would rather have an awkward conversation early than deliver a compromised frame late.
The sample is the contract
Nothing goes to production until a physical sample has been approved in the actual material. That approved frame then stays as the reference for the batch, so there is no argument later about what was agreed.
Finish is not optional
Polishing is the easiest stage to shorten and the most obvious one to have shortened. We treat it as part of the specification rather than as the last thing before dispatch.
Deal with the people making it
Our customers talk to the people who run the production. Detail gets lost through intermediaries, and detail is most of this business.

You will not find production capacity, employee counts, certification logos or a list of countries served on this site.
